PSG and Bayern Munich Squad Updates Ahead of Saturday’s Clash

Paris Saint-Germain received a major boost with Ousmane Dembele making his return as a second-half substitute against Inter Miami, having missed all three group-stage matches due to a thigh injury. However, it remains uncertain whether the Ballon d’Or contender—who was sent off in his last encounter with Bayern—will be ready to start on Saturday.

In Dembele’s possible absence, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are likely to retain their places in PSG’s attack. Meanwhile, Luis Enrique is expected to stick largely with the same starting eleven elsewhere on the pitch.

Marquinhos and Fabian Ruiz, both substituted at half-time during the Round of 16 to preserve their energy, are set to return to the lineup, taking up roles in central defense and midfield, respectively.

On the Bayern Munich side, injuries continue to disrupt their defensive options. Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito remain sidelined as they work toward recovery, while Kim Min-jae is nearing a return but is unlikely to feature on Saturday.

Bayern have also bid farewell to Leroy Sane, who has completed a transfer to Galatasaray after making his final appearance for the club in the Round of 16. Thomas Muller is set to depart at the end of the tournament and could make his 756th and potentially final appearance for Bayern, likely coming off the bench if Vincent Kompany’s team falls short against PSG.

Meanwhile, Kingsley Coman, who left the field with a muscle issue during Bayern’s win over Flamengo, has avoided serious injury and is expected to resume full training this week. The French winger could be fit in time to compete for a starting role in the final third, joining the likes of Muller, Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, and Jamal Musiala in support of striker Harry Kane, who has netted three goals in four Club World Cup appearances.

The stage is set for a thrilling encounter as both European giants aim for a place in the next round.
